R.L. (Bud) Fancy
In July of 2009, Pastor Bud Fancy became the Lead Pastor of Presque Isle Wesleyan Church. Pastor Bud, his wife Irene, and their daughter Taylor moved here from Pulaski, New York, where they had pastored for nine years. They also have two adult sons, Seth and Zachary.
Pastor Bud has numerous connections to Northern Maine, and is excited to be serving at the church his father, Jack Fancy, pastored in the late 1980's.
Pastor of Assimilation
Pastor Darren joined the staff in July 2006. He is a native of Aroostook County, and the Presque Isle Wesleyan Church which he attended while growing up. In 1990 the Lord called him into full time ministry. His twenty plus years of experience have been valuable and beneficial for each step of the journey the Lord has guided him on.
Pastor Darren is married to Cheryl Bonville and they have 4 children, Brandon (22), Hannah (20), Jordan (15), and Jacob (13). Please feel free to check out his Facebook page, contact him, or set up a time to stop in and have a cup of coffee.
Pastor of Children's Ministries
Debbie has been involved in children’s education for fifteen years and has served in children’s ministries for a number of years in area churches. She joined the staff at PIWC in April of 2004 where she has faithfully served as director of the children’s ministries.
Debbie and her husband Steve live in Easton and they have two grown children. They have a daughter, Charity and son, Jason, who serves as Senior Pastor with his wife Emily at Monticello Wesleyan Church.
Pastor Dave joined the PIWC staff in July of 2011 as Pastor of Student Ministries, moving from southern Maine with his wife Kacie to Presque Isle, where they bought a home. They have 4 children, Noah, Judah, Olivia and Renee. They live and breath student ministry and long to see God spark a great move of His Spirit in the County!
Pastor of Senior's Ministry
At the age of 17, under the passionate preaching of the Rev. H.O. McGeorge, Bernard attended Bethany Bible College. In the Fall of 1955 he married Jean James of Presque Isle. He took his first pastorate in 1957 at the Head of Millstream, N.B., Canada, and was ordained a year later. In 2008 he was honored at the Wesleyan District Camp Meeting for 50 years of Christian service .
His wife Jean has served by his side as the church pianist, Sunday School teacher, and typist. They have four grown children, and four grandchildren.
In November of 2008 Pastor Brown, once again responded to the call of the Lord, and joined the staff of PIWC where he continues to serve the Lord faithfully by ministering to the Senior Adult Ministry. When you ask Pastor Brown what he has felt has been key to fulfilling preaching and teaching he sums it up in one word, "communicating".
Marilyn came to PIWC in 2001 working as the church secretary with varied duties, including financial responsibilities. With the addition of office support staff, her responsibilities have become more specific to the financial needs of the church with oversight of the office staff. Currently, Marilyn serves on the Local Board of Administration as Treasurer and Riverside Camp Board as Treasurer.
Marilyn also works with her husband Mike at their business (Presque Isle Redemption) when the need arises. Mike and Marilyn live in Presque Isle and have two grown children, Chris Bouchard who lives in Gibsonville, NC, and Jodie Rooney and her husband Chris who live in Presque Isle, ME. Jodie and Chris have two boys, Joshua and Noah, who bring much joy to their grandparents.
Rick joined our ministry in March of 2008. Rick had the privilege of surrendering his life to Jesus Christ in this very church in November of 1998. As a regular attendee of the church for a number of years, it was an easy transition for him into full time ministry.
Rick and his wife Tina are originally from the area, and continue to reside in Presque Isle. Rick says that, "Tina completes me in so many ways". They have 4 children; Autumn, Alex, Ethan, Micah, and one grandchild, Mason.
He loves his ministry, and it truly reflects in the way that he cares for the facility. Rick says, "I love my ministry because I have the opportunity to touch so many people in so many ways. Most of the time they do not even know it." It is Ricks view that when you do all things unto the Lord that He will never be disappointed, and neither will you.
Tania has attended PIWC since the age of 5 and joined our staff in July of 2016. Tania resides in Presque Isle with her husband Dana and their two girls, Meghan and Olivia. Tania has been an active part of the community and enjoys loving on the people God puts into her life. "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love."
Worship Arts Director
Kacie is passionate to see the body of Christ engage in worship to the Lord. She has been attending PIWC since July of 2011 when her husband, David became the Pastor of Student Ministries. Kacie served for 5 years on the worship team before stepping onto the staff as our Worship Arts Director.
Barb has been working in the field of counseling for 25 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in youth ministries with a minor in psychology from Gordon College. She also holds a master’s degree in counseling from Liberty University.
Over the years, Barb has held the position of youth pastor, guidance counselor and business owner. She is thrilled to be coming back to her roots at Presque Isle Wesleyan church as she joins our staff in the position of Biblical Counselor.
Barb is married to Phil Halvorson and has a daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Tyler Nobis, who reside in Rhode Island. Barb also has a son, Logan, who attends the University of Maine.
